Crisp Saba-Bulad Bites

Entertaining for a merienda or dinner at home? Looking for something easy and reasonably priced to take to a potluck merienda or luncheon?  These crisp bulad bites are something to consider. Something different for sure. These fritters’ crisp and bland exterior compliment our savory gourmet bulad relish. Click HERE to watch the video.

RECIPE:

3 -4    tablespoons         Pria’s Kitchen Gourmet Bulad

4          pcs               Saba banana (buy the banana that is still slightly firm, not ripe)

1-2      pcs                          egg, beaten (for dredging)

1/2      cup                          all purpose flour (for dredging)

1/2      cup                          panko breadcrumbs (for dredging)

Canola oil for frying (or use your preferred oil)

 

Slice banana into 1/2 in rounds. Dredge in flour (dust off excess), then place into beaten eggs, then into the breadcrumbs. Place them back into the beaten eggs then back to the breadcrumbs again. This makes for a super crisp saba fritter.. Fry until golden and top with Pria’s Kitchen’s Gourmet Bulad. Garnish with parsley and serve. 😀
